Your donation will help us produce Stay Salty: Lakefacing Stories, a podcast and multimedia project about overlooked stories from people connected to and impacted by the receding Great Salt Lake. We grapple with what it means to stay in the Great Salt Lake Basin as we face an ecological and public health crisis. We ask: Why stay? How to stay? And who gets to stay (or leave)?
Stay Salty: Lakefacing Stories is a project of the nonprofit storytelling collective, Of Salt and Sand, which creates multimedia projects with, for, and by communities impacted by extractive economies and climate crisis across Utah.
We're made up of multimedia artists, community leaders, and organizers. We love our home -- the land, the water, and our neighbors -- and we're telling stories to build a thriving future here.
