Defeat racist congressman Steve King in Iowa

GOP Rep. Steve King (R-(IA) is likely the most overt racist in Congress, with a long history of making incredibly insensitive comments for which he never pays a price at the ballot box.

Please donate to Steve King's opponent, J.D. Scholten, and to our work helping to keep the US House blue in 2020. Together we can stop Steve King and take our country back.

Some examples of just how bad Steve King really is:

King just extolled the values of rape and incest. More from CNN:

GOP Rep. Steve King of Iowa questioned on Wednesday whether there would be any population left on Earth if not for rape and incest, a remark that has drawn condemnation from both Democrats and Republicans.

"What if we went back through all the family trees and just pulled those people out that were products of rape and incest? Would there be any population of the world left if we did that?" he said in Urbandale, Iowa, according to video posted online by the Des Moines Register, which was first to report on the remarks Wednesday.

"Considering all the wars and all the rape and pillage that has taken place ... I know I can't certify that I was not a part of a product of that," King said. "I'd like to think that every one of the lives of us are as precious as any other life," he added.

Steve King on white supremacy and white nationalism

In a January 2019, New York Times interview, King asked, "White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization — how did that language become offensive?"

King has always been a virulent racist, but he's been so bad that the chairman of the House Republican campaign arm -- the body in charge of electing Republicans to the US House -- publicly rebuked King after the extremist congressman endorsed a white supremacist running for mayor of Toronto. They went on to stay that they're no longer supporting King's reelection! As CNN's John King just said, "they're saying they hope you lose."

And year ago, while ostensibly visiting Holocaust concentration camps in Eastern Europe, King snuck in a visit with a far-right Austrian political party with ties to neo-Nazis. The list goes on and on.

King's Democratic opponent, J.D. Scholten is pro-choice, pro-environment, pro- gun control, pro-ACA, against Trump's border wall. Scholten ran against King in 2018, and only lost by 2,500 votes.

We have a real chance to finally take Steve King down. We must take King down. And you can help.

Can you chip in to J.D. Schulten and AMERICAblog Action's work to defeat Steve King and his Republican congressional allies in 2020?
