Steven is a familiar face in the North Central neighborhood where he has helped organize and run community events like food drives, clothing drives, and voting initiatives. He coaches basketball at BGCCA and volunteers with The Block youth mentoring program at the Boys and Girls Club. He serves as co-director of Team HERO, a community leader for Opportunity Youth United, an at-large member of the NAACP Troy branch, and on the Rensselaer County Youth Advisory Board. Steven has been recognized time and again for his service to the community by the Americorps National Alumni Movement, Congressman Paul Tonko, CEO and others. He is dedicated to bring change to the city of Troy while building together with communities.
