Big Tech companies are racing to build massive AI data centers across the country, powered mostly by fossil fuels. Third Act is organizing to stop them.

These data centers have had little oversight or public input and have enormous consequences for local communities, energy bills, water supplies, and our climate.
We must rein in this reckless expansion of data centers—the stakes are enormous:
- Higher electricity costs for families and seniors on fixed incomes
- Increased dependence on fossil fuels at the worst possible moment for the climate
- Decreased local water supplies
- Damaged ecosystems and farmland
- Massive industrial development in communities without public consent
