For years O’Reilly has been disseminating falsehoods and distortions about Black people and communities. This stereotypical rhetoric brings real life consequences for Black people; including less attention from doctors, harsher sentences from judges, and brutal (even deadly) treatment by police. At best, he is crystallizing implicit bias in our society and at worst he is raising a new generation of domestic terrorists.
Any advertiser who continues to stand behind a man committed to spinning harmful lies at the expense of our communities is sending a clear message: they don’t value you or your business.
