URGENT: Stop the Texas Abortion Ban
BREAKING: Texas Governor Rick Perry just called a SECOND special session of the Texas Legislature in order to pass the extreme and dangerous abortion ban that Senator Wendy Davis defeated Tuesday night. This bill will put millions of women's lives and health at risk. It is infuriating. It's wrong. And we are NOT going to stand for it.
This is an all-hands-on-deck moment. Here's what we're doing about it: running ads to spread the word and activate more pro-woman Texans to speak out, collecting resources--like supplies, food and water for volunteers who will be occupying the Capitol and working with allies to keep organizing grassroots sit-ins and vigils in Austin.
That's a lot. But what the last week has proven is that when we stand together, we CAN win. We really need your help. Can you chip in?
