A new voter suppression bill that passed in Florida will curb mail-in voting and the use of drop boxes. These actions have been proven to suppress minority voters.
SB90, the latest Republican-led initiative to supress voting rights, will impose new ID and signature requirements for mail-in ballots, limit who can return a completed mail-in vote, increase partisan surveillance control during ballot counting, and impose further limits on drop box use.
Ron DeSantis has signed this bill into law.
