At least, it sounds so easy when it is stated so briefly as that. The truth is, building a free, equal, and sustainable world is the result of hard work. That takes the helping hands of many. Sunrise Annapolis builds its momentum rooted in a few simple realizations: Not that you "need" to know more about climate change and the consequences of ignoring the future. We at Sunrise, Annapolis believe the problem is not that any person is ignorant of what needs to be done. Our problem is an endemic resignation about politics: In fact, we have come to know the problems of politics and the reality of injustice all-too-well.
Oftentimes, the rhetoric of "leadership" sounds so nice (too good to be true, right?), but what about solutions? What about the very real necessity for cities to be sustainable? What about the lives of everyone, so affected by necessary changes? How do we create a new world, and help people forge a sturdy path on the way to a new day?
Right now Annapolis public campaigns are promoting development plans which put us on the right track! Sunrise believes we can go even further beyond, but only if we work together.
We have a long way to go to achieve Climate Justice, but with your support, we can make this dream a reality.
