As Joe Biden’s inauguration draws near, we will continue to hold him accountable by pushing him to abide by the climate mandate. While Biden’s victory was momentous, the fight is not over yet. The Senate runoff races in Georgia will play a critical role in determining how much Biden’s administration can get done. A Democratic majority in the Senate would allow us to continue pushing the new administration to adopt more progressive climate policies and enact change on a large scale. That’s why SLAY is organizing phone banking trainings for the Georgia runoff elections. Alongside national politics, we continue to organize in Los Angeles. On a local level, we are prioritizing outreach to those on the front lines of the climate crisis- low income and BIPOC communities.

Together, L.A. Sunrise teens will help make climate change an urgent, national priority, end the corrupting influence of fossil fuel executives on our politics, and elect leaders who stand up for the health and well being of all people. Contributions like yours make what we do possible.
