Sunrise Philly is dedicated to fighting for our green spaces and ensuring a livable future for all Philadelphians.
Winning a Green New Deal is only possible if we organize and turn out.
Because of donors like you, we are able to:
• Organize working class and marginalized communities in Philadelphia.
• Distribute free food to community members through mutual aid meal distribution.
•Train the next generation of organizers to fight the status quo.
Recent activity includes:
• We won $20 million dollars for libraries, parks and rec centers.
•We brought trash to city hall in order to support DC33 striking workers.
•We helped community members and coalition partners pushback against tearing down the Cecil B. Moore library.
•We created a new hub at the Community College of Philadelphia and supported students and FSFCCP union teachers during their fight for free SEPTA passes.
With your support we can continue to organize, protest, and build connections with Philadelphians who care about our future climate.
We have only seen a massive wave of action at this scale a few times in our history, during the civil rights movement and the labor strikes the original New Deal needed to succeed. To walk in their footsteps, we need your help.
