Donate to the Sunrise Precinct Project

On November 8, 2022, 80 voters were turned away at Sunrise Precinct’s Whiteriver Unified School District’s polling location, denied permission to vote because they didn’t bring or possess correct voter identification. The composition of Sunrise precinct is 99% Indigenous, meaning that the lack of adequate voter education and access to AZ Identification, disproportionately affects Indigenous voters. In 2023, we will provide pervasive, effective education, as well as, assist Sunrise Precinct voters have access to state services to ensure a 100% voter acceptance rate in 2024.

Our fundraising goal for this program is $8,000 to produce and print education materials, pay our organizers and provide transportation to the AZ Motor Vehicles Department as needed to update ID.
