Sam's Sunrise Fundraising
I have recently signed on to work with the Sunrise Movement beginning in January through the mid-term elections in November. Sunrise is a new organization of young people trying to put pressure on our politicians to respond to the threat of climate change in a meaningful way. Given our current political situation, the importance of this work cannot be understated. Sunrise is hoping to start movement houses in politically important states where young people will have their costs of living met and be able to dedicate their time to working to fight the power of the fossil fuel lobby and envision a better way forward. This work will not be easy, but it is certainly worth doing. We do not have much time.
