Hello friends. My heart breaks watching the horrific humanitarian crisis unfold in Ukraine. I know there are too many humanitarian crises to count in this world, and at least for me, at times, it feels overwhelming. I want to help but feel like I’m just one small person too insignificant to make an impact. I also know I can’t physically help what’s going on in Ukraine. I felt posting my support on Instagram wasn’t enough, so I started this fundraiser. Yes, gas prices here are going up, yes, the pandemic has been hard on us, and yes, we’re all maybe not in the best place right now. But the people of Ukraine are suffering and supporting with my wallet is the only option I have. If you’d like to join me, I have done some research and created this fundraiser that supports several organizations working in Ukraine to support refugees and provide medical care and other forms of aid. I will match all donations. Please give what you can - every dollar counts! Here’s a little more information about where your money is going:
Save the Children’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund: Ukrainian crisis relief fund that’s providing food, water, hygiene kits, cash, and psychosocial support to children.
United Help Ukraine: distributes donations, medical supplies, and food to Ukrainian refugees and people on the ground in Ukraine and supports Ukrainian families who have lost soldiers to war.
Nova Ukraine: provides aid packages (including food, medical supplies, basic necessities, and clothing) to those in Ukraine. They are also assisting in locating and reconnecting family members who may have been separated, and assisting refugees who might arrive in the US.
Global Empowerment Mission: this organization, set up along the Ukrainian-Polish border, is providing aid to Ukraine (food, water, basic necessities, and medical supplies), relocation assistance for refugees, war-zone evacuations, housing, and is even assisting non-Ukrainian refugees.
