Since COVID-19 hit the United States in early 2020, BYP100-New Orleans pivoted its organizing efforts to focus primarily on mutual aid efforts for Black people in New Orleans surviving at the intersection of a global pandemic and a racist national healthcare system. So far, we have raised over $50,000 and we have an end goal of redistributing $100,000 by the end of our project.
