Supporting Black Youth

The Youth Activism Project is committed to elevating the civic leadership of teens of color. In this current climate, we are especially committed to supporting our Black leaders. Throughout the month of June 2020, every dollar donated to our organization will support the stipends of our Black student organizers who are leading the following campaigns:

• the Maryland-based movement to end de facto segregation in Montgomery County Public Schools
• our upcoming national program to support students of color to lead a movement to ensure that elected officials won't go back to business as usual after COVID-19
• our upcoming program to organize Black and Brown students to register and pre-register their peers to vote across the country
