Help us keep pushing the Prop 47 reforms
Earlier this week, voters overwhelmingly approved the Proposition 47 ballot initiative which will give the 40,000 mostly Black and brown Californians the resources they need to interrupt the vicious cycle of addiction and mental-health related incarceration.
We should all celebrate and feel proud of the incredible organizing by ColorOfChange members, allies and partners that made this victory possible. But now the hard work begins. These reforms will be rolled out over the course of the next 5 years, and we’ll need lots of support to sustain this powerful movement and to push back against lawmakers determined to reinstate that state’s failed mass incarceration agenda.
