Support Higher Education Advocacy Work

The WSA seeks to empower and amplify student voices in the legislative process in pursuit of a more affordable, inclusive, accessible, and diverse public higher educations system for all students in Washington State.

We believe that students are their own best advocates and should be at the center of higher education policy building. Through our legislative liaison program, voter registration and outreach programs, and trainings, we provide students with the tools necessary to lead effective change.

Your donation will help close equity gaps and provide students with the materials and spaces they need in order to organize, train, and advocate year-round.

As a WSA supporter, your contributions will go towards our Student Success Fund. This fund is available to all students from our member campuses and provides financial assistance for professional clothing, transportation and lodging to attend conferences and trainings, rent to relocate for participation in our internships, as well as any other basic need our students lack in order to participate in state advocacy.

$15 | will cover lunch for a student during trainings.

$50 | will cover transportation for students to travel to the state capitol.

$100 | will cover a suit/professional wear for low-income and first-generation students.

$500 | will cover one month of rent for our conference room and office in Olympia for our Associated Student organizations to be able to:

  • Host large lobby days, conferences, and trainings.
  • Have an office space during the legislative session for our legislative liaison internship program.
  • Host student discussions in a safe space

Consider becoming a recurring donor. Ongoing funding is critical to ensure we can pursue long-term advocacy projects and help students despite their socioeconomic backgrounds.

The WSA is the only student run - student lead organization in the state, representing over 150,000 students at all of Washington's public four year universities and colleges.
