I’m with my colleagues of the House Democratic Caucus flying to Washington D.C. for a meeting with the President of the United States and leaders of Congress to urge them to pass the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
In the Texas Capitol the voter suppression hearings started right away. The process was rushed and there was no willingness to extend the committee testimony, not by just one day. Instead process was rushed and intended to limit debate.
There is federal legislation that could establish a more open and fair voter experience for all Americans. We intend to meet with leadership to plead our case for Congress to engage.
Can I count on your support in the fight against voter suppression? I truly appreciate your support, every contribution helps to amplify the voice of your local community and strengthen Texas Democrats!
