Highlander Research & Education Center (HREC) is one of the nation’s oldest social justice institutions, supporting existing and emerging movements throughout the South, Appalachia and the world since 1932. From labor rights to Civil Rights, from environmental justice to immigrant justice, Highlander has been a vital center for making change. Highlander helped SURJ get our start 12 years ago and continues to be an invaluable ally and resource.
Your gift on this page will automatically be split evenly between SURJ and HREC. You will have the opportunity to change the proportions of your split as you make your gift. Both SURJ and HREC are are 501c3 organizations - your gifts are tax deductible to the full extent allowable by law.
Showing Up for Racial Justice Education Fund (SURJ-EF) is a national network of individuals and chapters working for a world where racial and economic justice thrive and where all communities are free from violence and fear. Through community organizing, mobilizing, and education, SURJ-EF works to undermine white supremacy and move white people to act as part of a multi-racial majority for justice.
