Support the work of Highlander Research & Education Center and SURJ Education Fund

On March 29 of the year, the Highlander Center’s main office building in New Market, Tennessee, burned down and a symbol connected to the white power movement was spray painted on the parking lot next to the office that burned.

Highlander Research & Education Center is one of the nation’s oldest social justice institutions, supporting existing and emerging movements throughout the South, Appalachia and the world since 1932. From labor rights to Civil Rights, from environmental justice to immigrant justice, Highlander has been a vital center for making change. Highlander helped SURJ get our start 10 years ago and continues to be an invaluable ally and resource.

Can you make a gift today to support the critical work of SURJ Education Fund and Highlander?

Now, more than ever, is a crucial moment to stem the spread of the white power movement and increase organizing in communities being targeted by white supremacists and nationalists. Help us bring more white communities into the fight for racial justice, collective liberation, and better conditions for all.

Your gift here supports both organizations' educational and organizing work. You can also choose to customize your gift as you complete the donation form.
