Hello,
I’m running for the North Carolina House of Representatives in District 85 because I believe Western North Carolina deserves leadership that is grounded in the people and communities we call home.
For more than 30 years, I’ve worked as a counselor, an educator, and an advocate—helping families, students, and communities navigate challenges, especially when systems weren’t working the way they should. That experience is what led me to run.
This campaign is focused on the issues and needs I see every day: access to healthcare and mental health services, strong public schools, and real support for working families—including affordable housing, childcare, and wages people can live on. And as our region continues to recover from Hurricane Helene, we need long-term investment to rebuild stronger and more resilient communities.
This is a grassroots campaign in a rural district. That means every contribution—no matter the size—helps us reach more people and stay focused on local voices, not outside interests.
If you’re able, I’m asking you to consider contributing $25 or $50 today.
Your support helps us show up in communities across Avery, Mitchell, Yancey, and McDowell counties and build a campaign rooted in service, trust, and accountability.
Thank you for being part of creating change in North Carolina.
