Trevor Jung is running for Wisconsin State Senate in District 21, bringing a background in local government, public transit, and community service. Born in Krasnodar, Russia, Trevor was adopted from an orphanage at the age of two by a fourth-generation Racinian and small business owner. A proud graduate of Racine Unified Schools and the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he earned a degree in Urban Studies, Trevor returned home after college and became Racine’s youngest elected alderperson since 1862.
Trevor currently serves as Director of RYDE Racine, where he oversees the city’s public transit system. His record highlights a results-oriented approach focused on improving public services, finding savings, and expanding connections to hospitals, social services, and jobs. His campaign is rooted in the belief that state government should be a tool for good by solving problems, removing barriers, and creating opportunity, with a focus on making families, neighborhoods, and communities the priority.
WHY THIS RACE
Wisconsin State Senate District 21 presents a critical pickup opportunity on the path to flipping the chamber and building a Democratic majority that can move the state forward. Electing Trevor Jung would all but guarantee Democratic control while adding a proven local leader focused on lowering costs, investing in public education and workforce development, and ensuring economic growth benefits Wisconsin families, not special interests.
WHY WISCONSIN
All eyes are on Wisconsin heading into the 2026 midterms. After years of extreme Republican gerrymandering that locked in GOP control of the legislature, fairer maps went into effect in 2024. Democrats are now just two seats away from flipping the State Senate and five seats away from flipping the Assembly, putting Democratic legislative majorities within reach for the first time in over a decade. Winning in Wisconsin will not only determine the balance of power in Madison, but also shape the national political landscape in 2026.
