The maximum contribution an individual, business, labor union, political committee, or other donor may contribute is $36,400 for the primary election plus an additional $36,400 for the general election. Personal, business, union and PAC checks are acceptable. Contributions from individuals and businesses they own or control will be aggregated together and subject to a single limit. State and federal laws prohibit contributions from foreign nationals and foreign principals; contributions from permanent lawful residents are permitted.
