TAJA Co., a 501c3, was founded in response to the brutal murder of Taja Gabrielle de Jesus, a transgender woman of color and resident of San Francisco. Our mission is to promote the safety of trans women and gender non-conforming people. Our vision for the world is to be free of the prison-industrial complex and state violence, to have an economy centered on people's needs, and to have arrangements of power and space that center interdependence.
