Our campaign for Mayor began with a DC love story --- in the spring of 1968. My mother was a typesetter for the Washington Evening Star; my father was an activist who led marchers from Memphis to D.C. following Dr. King's death to demand justice. She opened her home and heart to my father and his mission. I was born just over a year later.
This isn’t politics; it’s personal.
For years, my opponents—Kenyon and Janeese—voted to give away billions to sports team owners and wealthy developers instead of investing in our youth. Now, those same billionaires are funding their campaigns.
I'm fighting for our youth, parents, seniors, and small businesses—and to demand that billionaires pay their fair share. Donate $200 or $100 to lead an upcoming fundraiser or contribute as much as you can today. Let's make D.C. Safe, Affordable, and Free as the 51st State!
