Tanya Frey for MSCS District 8
Tanya Frey, J.D., has called District 8 home for two decades and is running for Memphis-Shelby County School Board to provide steady, accountable leadership.
An attorney, nonprofit executive, and parent, Tanya is the Founder & CEO of Terra Firma Consulting, where she advises nonprofit organizations on executive
search and strategy. She previously served as Vice President for the Midsouth Territory at ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, leading high- performing teams and multi-million-dollar fundraising efforts.
A graduate of both the University of Arkansas School of Law and Hendrix College, Tanya combines her legal training and executive leadership experience with a heart for service.
Her three sons were proudly educated in District 8, and she understands firsthand what’s at stake for students, families, and educators. She believes thoughtful governance, clear expectations, and strong leadership create real opportunities — and she is committed to serving every family, every day.
