Following his successful re-election in 2024, Rep. Tarik Khan has continued to put his training in healthcare and research to good use.
During his first term, Tarik has passed legislation that addresses safe staffing for nurses, affordable housing, and medical debt cancellation. Tarik has also helped write several dozen more bills focusing on improving access to quality healthcare, passing common sense gun reform, addressing our climate crisis, and reforming our broken criminal justice system.
Tarik serves on the Appropriations, Health, Human Services, Agriculture & Rural Affairs, Housing & Community Development, and Aging & Older Adult Services Committees. He also serves as Co-Chair of the PA House Diabetes Caucus, Chair of the PA Legislative Black Caucus’ Subcommittee on Health Equity, and is Vice-Chair of the PA Legislative Asian Pacific Caucus.
