The Tashane Way Foundation was formed in honor of Christopher Tashane Byrd. Christopher was a victim of gun violence, being tragically killed on June 4, 2013 in the South Bronx, NY. Christopher will forever be 26 years old.
Christopher was a giant - larger than life. His smile was radiant, his personality infectious, and his love for life incomparable. In this same way, The Tashane Way Foundation lives on for him. Through this tragedy, we bring healing and peace by engaging the community through fellowship, education and the arts.
The Tashane Way Foundation’s mission statement is - More Than The Four Corners™.
We aim to instill in the community that there is more to offer in life beyond the four corners of the neighborhood that they live in.
Through this unimaginable reality, the Tashane Way Foundation devised ways to fulfill charitable goals in Christopher’s name. We cannot allow his death to be in vain.
We recognize the significance of family, regardless of its size, and how our assistance can impact the paths they choose through the More Than The Four Corners™ model. Whether it's a large or small donation, every contribution can make a difference. It's crucial for us to unite as a community and support the wonderful people who reside there.
