On February 22, 2022, Governor of Texas Greg Abbott issued a letter instructing Family and Protective Services to prosecute transgender children and their parents. The letter holds that teachers, doctors, and other adults in positions of power are responsible for reporting any transgender youth, under penalty of charges of child abuse.

This motion constitutes a hate crime towards the entire transgender population of Texas, leaving many transitioning folks in limbo and leaving more with no safe alternatives to start transition.
The Violet Moon team has decided to take a stand against this alongside our mascot, the Tiny Potato (Tater), notable for being an unofficial symbol of the Fabric community and for believing in you.
Here's how it works.
- Donate to the ACLU Foundation of Texas to protect the rights of transgender youth.
- After donation, send your receipt to vazkii@hotmail.com alongside your Minecraft username.
- Donations above $50 may send a modified version of tiny_potato.png, the Tiny Potato texture, to be included in future Botania updates. Pre-made templates and editing instructions are attached below.
- Once processed, any Tiny Potatoes that are given your name ingame will show your donations (name and time, not value) when hovered over, as well as your texture, if applicable.
- For the sake of fairness in "collection", donators to our previous BLM charity campaign may re-forward their receipt to have it added to their list of contributions.
- Usernames and modified Tiny Potato textures will be reviewed before inclusion-- we ask that you kindly refrain from the use of hate symbols or coarse material. Violet Moon team decisions are final on this topic.
