These are crazy times. 


Let’s be clear. Texas, because of its size, is the most important state in American politics. While oligarchs and right-wing politicians now control the state, there is absolutely no reason why, with hard work and a vision, Texas cannot become a progressive state that represents the needs of its working families. 


And here is the good news. The Texas Democratic Party now has new leadership in the form of Chairman Kendall Scudder, who is focused on building a state party powered by the working class of the state.


But he can't do it alone.


That is why I am writing today - to ask you to say you'll sign up as a volunteer or as a monthly contributor to the Texas Democratic Party.
