You may have heard the big news- I am running for Suffolk County Democratic Committee Chair in 2026! I couldn’t be more excited for the work ahead: building community, mobilizing volunteers, recruiting candidates, and organizing for progress is the work I love most. And, much like Democratic Party efforts nationally, Suffolk County is in dire need of a new generation of leadership.
Here’s what you need to know:
- The position is elected by an internal party-only election that will be held in September or October of 2026. Most of you won’t be able to vote for me, but I WILL need your help!
- The current Party Chair has been in the role for 25 years (!!), has no vision, strategy, or field operation and regularly makes deals with the Conservative Party- yup, the same party that aligns with Donald Trump and works directly against our interests.
- I’m going to take the strategy we brought to Southold: rebranding, strategic fundraising, year-round organizing, dedicated candidate recruitment, and volunteer mobilization to all of Suffolk County to start winning more races, town by town. Ultimately, with two key Congressional seats in Suffolk County, success here could mean retaking control of Congress.
- This is about a movement in Suffolk County! Over 1.5 million people live in Suffolk County. We are larger than 11 US States. We need to invest like it. Our future depends on it.
In short, if you agree that the Democratic Party needs a changing of the guard, I’m ready to be that change in Suffolk County. And the only way we can achieve this goal is by investing in the effort. Join me in taking Suffolk County back for the people, for progress.
