I hadn’t expected to run for any office, but I saw the way they treated educators like myself as they tried to pass Arkansas LEARNS. They pushed aside people with years of experience to rush a bill that takes money away from our struggling schools. I got a few calls from supporters and the State Party asking me to sign up to run. So I took this opportunity to continue my public service.
I love District 98 – I spent basically my whole life here. The people who live here aren’t just people I hope to represent – they are my family, my friends, and my students I have taught. Their issues and problems are ones I struggle with too. Their belief in a brighter future for South Arkansas is one I want to see too.
I will show up every day with hardwork and integrity. I promise to show up for our families in District 98 – no matter what party or what background. I know I can promise that because it’s exactly what I do in the classroom every day.
I’ve met with Rep. Fielding and I really believe we can work together and find those 800 votes we need to win this election.
But, I can’t do it alone. I need your support – both your financial support and volunteer support. This district will be one of the closest in the state again. Your support could make the difference.
