When we heard that tech giants like Google and Apple were refusing to reject Trump’s future Muslim registry - a disturbing plan that would relegate all Muslims, including close to 1 million Black Muslims, to second-class citizenship - we sprang into action.
And it was only after thousands of Color Of Change members stood against anti-Muslim bigotry, that Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, and IBM all definitively said they would not help Trump build a Muslim registry.
This is a victory for everyone who cares about justice and equity. But this fight is not over. There are still many tech companies out there that have the ability to help Trump build is Muslim registry. We will continue to organize and build power to get more tech companies to commit to blocking Trump's plans and to hold these companies accountable to the promises they have made.
Chip-in to take a stand against bigotry--and a stand for justice and equity.
