Hi, I am Tenley Peterson, mother and progressive Democrat running for Arlington County Board. In my family, public service is a family value. I have spent the last decade serving my community as former Chair of the Arlington Budget Commission, and now as Planning Commissioner.
Growing up, my dad served on the school board and my mom was a library trustee. I saw first hand that public service is just what you do to serve your community.
After my husband’s seven years in the Navy, we chose to live in Arlington. We love the parks, the schools, our local businesses, the great public transit and bike trails, walkable neighborhoods, and the cultural diversity. We feel so fortunate to be raising our three young kids here.
