Help Break the Cycle of Recidivism

Donate to The Alliance for CHANGE
The Alliance for CHANGE is a nonprofit organization serving formerly incarcerated people in the Greater Bay Area. Too often, formerly incarcerated men and women are left on their own and forgotten -- leading to a high rate of recidivism.
To end this cycle, we offer services and programs that help people leaving prison make a safe and productive transition back to their community. Our primary offerings are our Reintegration Program and Technology Literacy classes – both teaching critical, basic life skills.
We also have an innovative Social Justice Education Program where participants learn the differences between retributive, restorative, procedural, community and transitional justice. They learn how these models of social justice affect their lives, how they can achieve positive, empowering changes and provide a framework for making better decisions.
  • With YOUR help, we give our clients personal backpacks at the prison gates. These backpacks are filled with basic hygiene supplies, helping them through the first few often traumatic, weeks of their release.
  • With YOUR support we host and facilitate tech literacy classes, re-integration programming, one on one meetings and mentoring sessions with our clients
  • With YOUR generosity, we can establish our own "Alliance Center" with office and classroom space, a computer lab and a secure area for volunteer recruitment. This location will allow formerly incarcerated people to meet and gather while seeking support for growth and consistency.
The work of the Alliance for CHANGE is made possible by the financial gifts and endless volunteer hours of so many people. Please join us.
TOGETHER we can break the cycle
TOGETHER we can strengthen our movement
TOGETHER we can facilitate CHANGE
