17th Ward Democratic Committee (NY)

Support the work of the 17th Ward Democratic Committee

The 17th Ward Democratic Committee is made up of volunteers and activists who represent electoral districts within the 17th Ward of Syracuse, NY. Our area includes much of the east side of Syracuse and we are part of the Onondaga County Democratic Committee.

Money we raise goes 100% to support Democratic candidates, campaigns and voter education. In the past thirteen years, our committee has donated over $85,000 to help support Democrats in their election to public office.

Some examples of the work we do:

  • Education and outreach on how to run for office locally
  • Public video conversations with elected officials to keep neighbors informed.
  • Public video conversations with activists about issues of concern within the city of Syracuse
  • Ballot petitioning to help endorsed Democratic candidates quality to get on the ballot.
  • Door to door canvassing ahead of election day.
  • Direct donations to local Democratic Candidates.

Your donation will help us continue to offer local civic content, print and mail educational and campaign materials, and directly support local candidates monetarily in cases where that money will make the most difference.

Thank you for being an engaged citizen, and thank you for your support!
