With a collapsing economy it's almost impossible for a small business, yet alone a micro business vendor to thrive. However, we've found an ancient Native structure to help Essential Vendors.
It's called a "Tianguis" and it means Outdoor Market in our Indigenous Native language and it's been around for over 500 years!
Vendor Merchants gather to create an outdoor market that brings the community together for a variety of essential goods and foods.
Going on 3 years now, since the pandemic, it's safe to say that the Native Tianguis Market is the safe haven for many Essential Vendors and small businesses.
We've helped over 2,400 micro business vendors since 2020 with permits and during the pandemic we helped 400+ struggling businesses by allowing them to sell at Tianguis Market, since malls and stores were forced to close. It's honestly remarkable what we've done!
We need your help to protect and cultivate this Native structure that has been around for more than 500 years! Due to heavy city fees and no state, county or city support, it's becoming very hard on our nonprofit. Currently we rely on Vendor donations to pay the fees but our goal is to eventually have the vendors come completely free!
(This is possible with your recurring donations)
Under our umbrella vendors are able to obtain all permits necessary, since we’re a certified market by the state of California. We’re also the 1st Tianguis in USA!
This Native Aztec Outdoor Market structure is Historic and It’s a blue print far well organized and is proven to work and we want every community to share the values it will bring to the community.
We kindly ask for any donations as we desire to build these safe markets through-out Southern California for the main purpose of helping more micro business Essential Vendors.
Thank You and see you at Tianguis Market this Sunday!
