Our planet is in peril, and the consequences of climate change are becoming increasingly apparent. As we face the challenges of a changing climate, we must also address the environmental injustices that disproportionately affect poor communities and communities of color.
In response to this pressing need, Senators Cory Booker and Tammy Duckworth, along with Representatives Raul Grijalva and Barbara Lee, have reintroduced the A. Donald McEachin Environmental Justice for All Act.
This vital legislation aims to achieve environmental justice, health equity, and climate justice by strengthening and amending existing federal law to better protect vulnerable communities from the harmful effects of pollution and climate change, and ensuring that these communities have a voice in the decision-making process related to environmental policy.
