The skyrocketing cost of insulin has placed a heavy financial burden on patients and their families, causing many to ration their supply or go without it entirely.
This corporate greed has devastating health consequences, from long-term complications to death.
But, now there is hope on the horizon. Due to massive pressure, Eli Lilly recently announced that they will lower the prices on some insulin products.
Building upon that, Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Cori Bush have introduced The Insulin for All Act which aims to cap the price of a vial of insulin at just $20, making it affordable and accessible for all who need it.
