Fund the Fight to Protect and expand reproductive rights at the state level now >>

Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, making abortion illegal in 13 states, countless individuals do not have the necessary access they need to this vital healthcare service. The consequences of this ruling are enormous and disproportionately harm marginalized communities that lack the resources they need for reproductive healthcare.

However, amidst these challenging times, there have been glimmers of hope and resilience. In 2022, voters in Kansas, Kentucky, and Montana successfully fought back attempts to impose anti-abortion bans, signaling a bold commitment to preserving abortion rights. In addition, California, Vermont, and Michigan took monumental steps forward by passing ballot measures that enshrine reproductive rights into their state constitutions.

Reproductive healthcare, including abortion, is not just a healthcare issue; it is a fundamental human right that ensures the personal autonomy and dignity of individuals. Infringement upon this right is not merely a policy issue; it is an outright attack on the principles of freedom and choice.

States have a significant role to play in protecting and expanding reproductive rights, including the crucial right to access safe and legal abortion services, but we must build support and keep up the pressure to make it happen.
