When it comes to tax cuts, the GOP will always come back for more.
In 2017 Trump and the GOP Congress enacted massive tax cuts for the wealthy that were set to expire in 10 years. Now with the House again under their control, Republicans are seeking to make these cuts permanent, benefiting the ultra-rich and leaving working families behind.
They are creating a pressure cooker, as they claim to want to reduce the national debt, while seeking tax cuts that will add $3 trillion dollars to it. Where will they find the trillions of dollars of cuts in services they need to offset their profligate irresponsibility? Look no further than their standard targets: of course, they will propose to gut Social Security and Medicare.
These tax cuts for the rich are unpopular with the American people. We can stop them from happening with action.
