To all Tibetan Americans residing in the United States:

As you may know, Congressman Jim McGovern, a steadfast advocate for the Tibetan cause, is running for re-election in the upcoming U.S. national elections as a Democratic Party candidate. We, the Tibetan American Friends of Congressman Jim McGovern (TAFJM), are organizing a fundraising campaign to support his efforts, and we warmly invite the public to participate and contribute generously.

Congressman McGovern has been a vocal supporter of the Tibetan cause in the U.S. House of Representatives, sponsoring significant legislation over the past 15 years that champions the rights and recognition of Tibetans globally. Most notably, he was a key sponsor of the Promoting a Resolution to the Tibet-China Dispute Act, popularly known as the Resolve Tibet Act of 2024. This Act advocates for peaceful dialogue without preconditions between the Chinese government and Tibetan representatives while also addressing disinformation about Tibet’s historical sovereignty.

We urge Tibetans living in the U.S. to recognize the importance of this moment and contribute as generously as possible.
