Imagine a West Sacramento that's no longer overshadowed but stands as a beacon of innovation, opportunity, and community. I envision West Sacramento transformed into a vibrant hub where every family thrives-where quality jobs are abundant, our neighborhoods are safe, and our schools are exemplary. For over 30 years, I've fought for this dream, rising from an entry-level worker at the Port of West Sacramento to president of my union, tirelessly advocating for workers' rights and community development.

Today, our city is at a turning point. The families that form our backbone are being priced out, and quality jobs are harder to find. Our District 2 neighborhoods are struggling with crime, encampments, and addiction. We need bold, visionary leadership to turn challenges into opportunities and transform our city into a place where everyone can succeed.

I'm running for West Sacramento City Council District 2 to be a voice and champion for the working and middle-class families that are too often ignored in this town. My priorities are your priorities. Retain and attract good jobs across West Sacramento.

Prioritize traffic mitigation and infrastructure improvements. Prioritize practical and effective public safety solutions. Invest in the next generation of West Sacramentans-fully fund programs that help young people and students succeed. Make West Sacramento a more affordable place to live. Address the homeless crisis in West Sacramento- enhance the availability of resources for mental health, addiction and workforce development services.

Using my experience as a negotiator, I will unite business, labor, Democrats, Republicans, and all community stakeholders to achieve this vision. I know how to bring people together to find common ground and drive real progress. Together, we can make West Sacramento a model city, showcasing what's possible when innovation, opportunity, and community spirit come together.

I have deep roots in this community. Looking out for the people I represent is what I do best, and on the City Council, I will always make sure your interests, the people of West Sacramento District 2, are the top priority. It's time we put people first.

Proudly endorsed by California Treasurer Fiona Ma, West Sacramento Mayor Martha Guerrero, West Sacramento Councilwoman Norma Alcala, the Sacramento Region Business Association, small business owners, and more than a dozen unions fighting for the rights of workers.
