TJ is running in California’s 21st Congressional District against Republican incumbent David Valadao. In 2016, Hillary Clinton won the district by 16 points.

TJ Cox has been named to the Democrats' "Red to Blue" program -- the first California Democrat on the list! 

TJ Cox is an engineer and small businessman whose passion is community development. He is a native Californian and son of two hard-working immigrants. He is founder of the Central Valley NMTC Fund, which invests in socially and economically disadvantaged communities throughout the Central Valley. Starting in 2011 TJ raised and invested over $65 million for community health clinics, job training facilities and clean energy plants in the Central Valley. TJ is married to Kathleen Murphy, a pediatric intensive care physician.
