Transformative Justice Coalition

Help Us Protect Democracy

The Transformative Justice Coalition (TJC) is devoted to advancing an inclusive, just, multiracial U.S. democracy.  The Transformative Justice Coalition (TJC), FOUNDED IN 2015, is a national 501(c)(3) non-partisan, not for profit, racial justice organization. TJC focuses on voting rights, social justice, gender equality, youth leadership development, criminal justice restructuring and economic justice issues. TJC works with Black, all BIPOC, and vulnerable neighborhoods and communities to increase voter participation and turnout across the United States. OVER THE LAST 10 years, through its INNOVATIVE and BOLD partnerships with 220 voting rights, civil engagement and grassroots organizations in 28 states, TJC has become an INFLUENTIAL force IN THE FIGHT for an inclusive, diverse, robust, just, and accountable multiracial society.

Since our inception, we have been passionate about training the next generation. We host leadership training and community activations focused on GenZ and Young Millennials of color between 18 to 35 years of age. Twice a year, we host all-expense paid training for GenZ and Young Millennials. Through this program, we educate and support the next generation of Voting Rights Activists. In 2024, we introduced the I’ll Rise & Vote Concert & Activation series. We are known for using creative strategies and tactics to encourage members of historically marginalized communities to become active in the political process through voting, especially those between the ages of 18 to 35. Through this effort we have educated community members using the John Lewis Good Trouble Bus and brought awareness to the importance of voting as well as sharing information about the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, the Freedom To Vote Act, and the Native American Voting Rights Act.

In its latest post-election initiative, TJC seeks to redress the growing ill-intentioned campaign in the United States to move our neighborhoods, communities, and public interactions in a divisive direction. We are opposed to the negative stereotyping of populations and the threat of mass deportation. TJC, as a national coalitional leadership formation, is uniquely positioned to lead, train, and promote peace and de-escalation during this uncertain era.
