The Labor Force

Unionize Amazon!

Amazon workers are rising up in North Carolina―and the media is noticing.

The Guardian just ran a big profile[1] of this organizing campaign, which culminates with an election in just three weeks:

The Labor Force is providing on-the-ground support to Amazon organizers in North Carolina. Can you make a donation that will directly help win this election?

Union president Ryan Brown, who is also a Reverend, breaks down the fight:

The preacher in me would like to say that when you look at the historical narrative of Goliath, the bigger they are, the harder they fall. But someone has to start fighting that Goliath.

Instead of waiting for somebody else to take on Amazon, Rev Ryan and his co-workers banded together to fight for better pay, more predictable hours, and safer working conditions. It’s an uphill battle―but it’s the only way things will get better.

Amazon fired Rev Ryan in December, as part of a smear campaign in the runup to the election aiming to divide workers by race. “They painted me to be this angry, racist Black man,” Rev Ryan told the Guardian.

Rev Ryan’s union is fighting back against Amazon’s racist smear campaign―and with your support, we will win! Rush a donation today to maximize your impact ahead of the February union election!
