As a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Michigan, born, raised, educated, and currently living on Detroit’s Eastside, the Heart of the District, I balance rigorous economic training and policy making experience with the lived experience of our Community.


With cuts to SNAP and Head Start threatening our most vulnerable population, WE must secure our economic future.


Detroiter's spend $2.5 Billion in the suburbs. My economic policies are designed to strengthen our Neighborhood Economy and keep our money circulating in our Community.


I have secured half a million dollars in funding for research from City Council to

  • lower property taxes and income taxes,
  • prevent DTE and GLWA rate hikes, and
  • create business equity investment opportunities for resident.

The son of a Union family (grandfather, mother, father, uncles all union), our family experienced multiple strikes and layoffs. I, myself, worked the same union job as my grandfather, and currently work as an AFT union worker at U-M, striking in '23 for a fair wage.
