Tram T. Nguyen

See you at our Boston Fall Fundraiser!

Tram Nguyen understands obstacles – and how to overcome them. Her family immigrated to the U.S. from Vietnam when she was 5, with less than $100. She quickly learned English, excelled at school, and earned scholarships to Tufts University and then Northeastern University School of Law. Grateful for her opportunities, Tram has spent her career giving back, by serving as a civil rights attorney with Greater Boston Legal Services, helping immigrants, children, seniors, veterans, and low-wage workers. When advocating for paid family medical leave and language access legislation, Tram saw that good policy could help many more people – and bad policy could hurt them. The biggest obstacle was her own rep, who espoused racial profiling and attacked LGBTQ rights and reproductive freedom. So Tram took him on, ran against him – and won.

In the State House, Tram has fought successfully for reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, and workers’ rights. She has championed the Climate Roadmap bill and pushed to make Massachusetts a leader in offshore wind and clean energy technologies. She has helped re-work the public education formula to include more funding for English language learners, and fought – and won – to make voting more accessible in the Commonwealth.

Her former opponent is now the chair of the Massachusetts Republican Party, and continues to throw obstacles in her path. He has hand-picked an opponent to run against her, trying to undo all of the good work that Tram has accomplished. Tram needs our support to fund her re-election campaign and keep fighting for our goals and values.

Please join us, meet Tram, and help keep her in the State House!
