Nhà means home in Vietnamese. A feeling of belonging, care, connection, and community.
Slow down. Meet your neighbors. Share your vision. Build community one block and one conversation at a time.
On Sunday, June 14, Josh and I are opening our home to the neighborhood.
We have been hosting neighborhood pop ups like this since we moved to Far Southwest Denver because this is just what community looks like to us. Long before this campaign existed we were opening our doors, pulling up chairs, and making space for the people around us. Nhà is a real open house. Our home transformed into a community third space. Good music, local coffee, local art, and honest conversation about what our blocks could look like when we build them together. This is how we invest in our neighborhoods.
Slow down with us. Grab a coffee from Migas Coffee, a bánh cam from Vinh Xuong Bakery, shop ceramics by Kim Hau, take in an art show by Joshua Wills, pick up flowers from Harvey Park Flowers, and let DJ Marika set the vibe all day. Come support your District 2 neighbors.
Stop by. Tell me what is working on your block and what is not. Tell me what you love about your neighborhood and what you wish was different. Tell me what your family needs, what your block is missing, what you have been hoping someone would finally pay attention to. I am here to listen and I truly mean that.
There is something for everyone. Bring the kids for drop-in button-making and art making activities. Add your voice to our community vision board and share what you want for our District. We will have voter registration available so you can sign up or update your information on the spot. Pick up a rally sign and let your neighbors know change is coming for Far Southwest Denver.
Your block was never meant to just be a place you drive past. It was meant for slowing down, for running into each other, for the kind of everyday life that does not have to happen somewhere else. It is about the people who show up. The neighbor who checks on you. The feeling that you are not alone. Growing up I saw what that meant and it shaped everything about who I am.
At the end of the day this comes down to one thing. Community first, always. Not just at election time. This is bigger than politics. It is about real people. Neighbors. Families. As long as there is a need for support, for resources, for someone who will show up and stand beside you I will be there. Not above this community but a part of it. Rooted in it. That is what it means to be a true steward of the people. Every single time. Without hesitation.
If this resonates with you please share the campaign, come out to events and bring a friend, volunteer, grab a yard sign, or donate so we can keep showing up in community. None of this happens without the people who show up. You are the reason this work matters.
💖 Free event, Family friendly. Everyone is welcome. Donations help cover light bites, refreshments, and activity supplies. Suggested donation: $20
