Derek Tran is an Army veteran, consumer rights attorney, small business owner, and proud father of three. In 2024, he won his race by 653 votes, beating a Republican incumbent and becoming the first Vietnamese person to represent CA-45 in Congress.

The son of Vietnamese refugees, Derek understands what it's like to realize the American Dream. Now he is running for reelection to secure freedom, security, and opportunity for the people of California's 45th district.
