The Transgender Education Network of Texas (TENT) is the largest trans-led, trans-focused organization in the state of Texas. We are dedicated to furthering gender-diverse equality in Texas through a racial justice lens and intersectional approach, through education and networking in both public and private forums. Through our efforts, we strive to halt discrimination through social, legislative, and corporate education.


Your donation enables us to continue this work and help protect trans rights across Texas.

In the U.S., for every $100 donated to LGBTQ+ orgs, only $0.04 is donated to transgender-led orgs. That's 0.04% of all donations.

Your sustaining gift will support:

  • Gender 101 and TransSafe workshops
  • Advocacy actions like hearing turnout and trans advocacy day
  • Individual storytelling to change hearts and minds

In 2023, we defeated over 93% of anti-LGBTQ+ bills filed in our state legislature, achieved safer and more accessible days of action, fed families waiting to testify at the Texas Capitol, and provided mental health support to folks affected by the anti-LGBTQ+ legislation. Additionally, we worked to file over 145 proactive bills to enrich all Texan lives.
